- Screened Catheter
Access Port
- Catheter can
be accessed directly with a 25-gauge needle for drug administration,
cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sampling, diagnosis, or troubleshooting.
- Screen allows
25-gauge (or smaller) needles to pass through the septum.
- Screen prevents
inadvertent catheter access with a 22-gauge (or larger) needle
during pump refill procedure.
- Funnel-shaped
holes in the screen direct the 25-gauge needle into the catheter
access port septum.
